Went here last night and everything was top notch. Ordered the meatball bites as an appetizer, which I highly recommend. My fiancé ordered the chicken pesto pasta and said she would order it again. I was pleased with my fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and recommend it. Our waitress was great and never let my drink run out. If you're looking for a quit, Italian restaurant, then Atlantis is for you.a

Dinner on the side porch was great. We had Ravioli Bolognese and Rack of Lamb, followed by cappuccinos. Delicious! Nice ambience and great service, too.

I ordered the chicken parm and it was really disappointing. The chicken portion had a flavorless breading on it, and the tomato sauce was totally bland. My mom had the ravioli and those were good, but she said the sauce had an odd taste to it. Overall, I'd say the food is lousy, or they were having an off night. On the plus side, the service was good. Inside was packed and extremely loud, so we sat outside. That was ok, but it was on a Friday night and the local kids were cruising up and down the strip in their loud trucks, so that took away from any enjoyment of dining outside there.

Folks...don't get all sideways with Yelp reviews! We went last night and had an outstanding meal! Seabass...bolognese pasta...shrimp with polenta...caesar salad...loved the pesto olive oil dip for the carb load (bread). Best part: prices. A family of four with 2 glasses of wine under $100 with tip. I actually had to check the menu to make sure they had not given me the lunch menu when i saw the prices. The place is tight space-wise but who the hell cares? The food was very good. Service was fast...very appropriate for a leisurely dinner. No regrets and would go back. However...we leave FL today.

Great food! I had the Osso Bucco, wife and sister in law had Salmon Carpaccio, and brother in law had seafood fettuccine...amazing! A must stop if you are visiting New Smyrna

Second time in NSB this Summer from PA. 8/22/15 Atlantis Lasagna was better than home made it was delicious. It was a very large piece reasonably priced, bread and dipping sauce outstanding, wine cold and 2 for 1. I can not remember the waitress name very sweet blond with great attitude who kept our glasses full and bread coming. You have to check it out.

This place just keeps getting better. The lasagna is to die for! The staff is fantastic. My favorite place in NSB!

My dinner was inedible. The meatball appetizer was tasteless, and the mussels were like hockey pucks. Maybe it was just an off night. But it was really off.

I eat here whenever I'm in NSB. It's one of my favorite restaurants in town. Italian / Seafood. Cute and quaint. Very mom and pop feel. Nice patio off to the side but eating inside is great, too. I had the spicy shrimp on polenta. I would've gotten it over pasta but it was still a solid offering. Service was very friendly and attentive. Simple place but they do a really nice job. Place is always near packed when I'm in there.

So visiting in NSB and decided to come here with the fam. Not very crowded but reviews told me it should be good. Very small place... Had to squeeze to sit down. Napkins are paper. My husband had the seabass and he thought it was "magnificent." I had the shrimp brandy and it was really good. Johnny (3) had spaghetti (ghetti) and Meghan (5) had spaghetti as well. Everything was great! Reason for 4/5 is space.

Chilleia Sea Bass in a garlic sun dry tomato sauce with vegetable melody was out standing. The waitress was very attractive without being a bother. Very good is a understatement.

We have heard so much about this place and the lasagna they offer only on Fri and Sat. We stopped in on a Sunday because my husband said I want that lasagna and maybe I will get lucky. Well he got lucky they had 1 left and he couldn't wait to dig in. Instead of lasagna noodles she uses crepes and layers with her homemade sauce. Well let me tell you he died and went to heaven eating it! We have plans to go again this weekend, so looking forward to another great meal and a few glasses of wine.

This is the first restaurant we ate at in NSB. We were promptly seated. We order the eggplant parmigiana and a special, Chilean sea bass. Both were great. The atmosphere was lively and warm. Our waiter, Christian, was nice and attentive especially on a busy Saturday night.

The staff was very nice but I wouldn't order the linguini with marinara sauce and vegetables. Super flavorless, bland and watery. I got sick afterwards but it's lasted 4 days so I don't think it's food poisoning.

Always passed this place while heading to the beach. The food, ambiance and service was second to none. The seafood was fresh and was beautifully prepared. Thr sides were tasty and you can even get scallops as a side dish! My wife's Italian food was plentiful and delicious too. The staff was pleasant and attentive!! I will most certainly go back again!

Restaurants have a disturbing habit of listing Grouper as a seafood choice and then serving Talapia, a cheap, toxin laden, farm raised import from Asia. I asked the server at Atlantic Bistro if their Grouper was real, she assured me it was. It was not! Grouper is easily distinguished because it is a large fish. It is cut into "steaks" similar to tuna. Talapia is a small, soft textured fish and served as a filet. I told the waitress I was very disappointed to be mislead, but was not offered any refund. I will not be back. This review serves as a notice to other seafood lovers. There is no similarity between the two fish. One is thick, firm, sweet, and delicious. The other is soft, bland and flavorless. FYI, there are very few restaurants that serve real Grouper. If you see it on a menu, you have a right to ask for assurance. Visit: March 2011.

Food is pretty good. It's an upscale variety of Italian. The place is tiny though, and if you go when it's busy, you will have to squeeze in with a shoe horn. The owner is mental and treats her employees badly (you can hear her yelling and throwing a tantrum, but she is very short so it's probably Napoleon syndrome). But the service is great. Unfortunately the owner fired some of the great servers. Not sure if we'll go back.

Outstanding meal and service! The starter of cream of mushroom soup was a nice surprise with large, fresh mushrooms in a light creamy, buttery base. The Shrimp Brandy came with perfectly prepared shrimp in a very flavorful sauce over pasta. The grilled eggplant parm was delicious. Very reasonably priced!

Really great food, decent service. It's kind if expensive, but everything seems really fresh. Be prepared to be squished up next to someone though, it's a tiny place!

This was my second dinner at Atlantis and I was not disappointed. We ordered the caprese salad as an appetizer. The tomatoes were fresh with generous slices of mozzarella. For my entree, I ordered the Shrimp Brandy over polenta. The dish featured six fresh shrimp placed over baked polenta, swimming in a flavorful sauce. My dinner companions ordered the chicken florentine. Both said it was yummy. The entree portions were so large we had to decline dessert. I was also impressed that the chef/owner popped out to ask about our meals.

Visited Saturday night, had to wait about 30 min, so make a reservation if you are planning to go. For appetizers we had the Meatballs, Pizza Bruschetta, and crab cakes. All were great, i think my favorite were the meatballs they were great, the crab cake was stuffed with crab meat not filler - also very good. For dinner we had Sea bass with grilled veggies. The sea bass was delightful.

Osso bucco is fabulous! Food was fresh and service was excellent. I only wish they were in my home town and not somewhere I can only visit on vacation.

Going back to 4 stars at this place. Went with some friends that wanted to have dinner at Atlantis and there must be a new chef from the last time we dined there. All the food on the table looked fabulous and all 7 of us enjoyed our food. My husband and I returned a few weeks later and again we had great meals! Always wanted this place to be better and it is..the Atlantis Bistro is back!

Atlantis Bistro is a great place to enjoy a fine glass of wine and people watch on Flagler Avenue. The food is great and the wine selection is amazing. I always enjoy a couple of hours at Atlantis when I am in NSB.

When I walked into this restaurant one recent afternoon I was met with a big smile by a very attentive young waiter. That set the tone to begin a wonderful repast. The restaurant was very neat, clean and inviting. They had a very nice selection including "Starters" sandsWiches, pasta, seafood, etc. Upon the waiters suggestion I opted for the meat loaf hamburger which was excellent and covered with Moxxarella cheese. There wasnsuch a large serving, I took one half to a semi-dieting friend who loved it. They have agree corner location on Flagler Avenue and thereof plea Thor on street and lot parking nearby. The service was great, the food washotwhen it arrived and the price was modest based on the quanity and quality I received. The food is prepared when you order so allow about 1/2 hour to eat. There is a great view of the street, and the people watching is excellent. When you finish go across the street to one of the finest custom Jewelers in the Americas, Jewelry of Joy.

After chilling at the beach all day we stopped by for a light snack and were suprised by a Saturday happy hour. The inside of this small shop was quaint and cozy. The staff was wonderful and took our drink order and told us to grab any seat. We went outside to enjoy the relaxing sunset and were promptly met with our drinks. The pizza bruchetta was piping hot and delicious. The motzerella was a whole Milk variety, creamy, smooth and tons of flavor. Ripe tomatos and basil that had to be picked fresh out of their garden topped the pie. It was a delightful treat and an overall perfect end to the day. Highly reccommended.

A small establishment, but it was worth the wait. The wait on Saturday night was less that 15 minutes for a group of four. It is hard to hold a conversation inside the restaurant. We had the Crab Cakes and they were excellent. The house salad was a house salad and house dressing was good. The bread and dipping sauce needs to be improved. All in all a great meal in a nice atmosphere in walking distance of the beach. We will go back the next time we are in New Smyrna Beach.

Great little fine dining experience. The menu is unique and very interesting. Not the wide variety of choices at a large establishment, But very determined to provide interesting choices. Wine glass aportions are generous, unlike many fine dining establishments. Cozy dining experience with very attentive wait staff. Homemade pesto and olive oil, fresh bread begin your experience.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
